Updates!

Oh man, I abandoned the blog for six months! It has been a busy six months for sure. I graduated from Iowa State University with my apparel degree last month. It was hard going back to college, especially when there was a significant age gap in my design classes, but it was 200% worth it. I'm glad I waited to go to college until I was ready, because I got so much more out of the experience than I would have when I was 18.

Right before I graduated, I presented my senior clothing line - inspired by the 1940's!

Thank you to Virginia for modeling!

In August, I got my first job doing costuming for theatre! It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I worked on the costume team sewing outfits for three productions: Spring Awakening, Crimes of the Heart, and A Christmas Carol.

My favorite costume I made for the theatre: Ghost of Christmas Past!
And all of summer 2014, I worked at Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa, as the historic millinery/dressmaker. Here's the dress I sewed on the Victorian treadle machine!

Now back to plushies! <3
